Sit back, relax, breathe, and bask in a fun and entertaining evening with Ricky Tims. Ricky is master storyteller, composer, and performing artist (piano). He will present an evening of delightful treats that will leave you filled with laughter, gratitude, and inspiration. This year marks Ricky’s nineteenth year as a Paducah QuiltWeek special guest. There’s limited seating for this popular event, so book early and secure your seat.

Ricky is known for taking “easy” and making it look “hard”. This master workshop lecture will cover four quilt projects that can be easily altered to be original and unique. These quilts are so user-friendly that they are not only great for beginners, but they are popular with experienced quilters too. You’ll discover the freedom of Primitive Patchwork (with an Amish vibe), Papaw’s Choice (Ricky’s Dad’s favorite pattern), One-Seam Flying Geese, and Ricky’s original Kool Kaleidoscope. Best of all…you won’t leave the lecture with a UFO - only inspiration! Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.

Ricky combines two of his award-winning techniques in one master workshop lecture session. You will learn his No-Pins Precision Curved Piecing method along with his award-winning Double Blanket Stitch Appliqué. Both of these methods are amazingly forgiving and open up a world of design possibilities. You will find them to be beginner friendly but perfect for the advance quilter too. Better yet, you’ll learn how to avoid the fuss of quarter-inch seams and math. As a bonus you’ll get the scoop on how to create original designs that work for both of these methods. Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.
