Consistency in the Chaos, #55F1804
Are you overwhelmed by scraps, either physically because you are drowning in them or mentally because the idea of a fully scrappy quilt scares you? The key to scrap containment is consistency, and Beth will show you how to make the most of any pattern by augmenting it with JUST ENOUGH scraps to give it wow without going over the edge into craziness. Lots of thoughts on what makes a good scrap quilt, why scrap quilts are Beth’s favorites, and insights into how one idea can morph into so many more during the design process. You'll never look at a quilt pattern just one way again! Supplies are not required for a lecture, although you may want to bring a pen and paper to take notes.

Give it a Scrap Slap, #55W5500
Using a variety of fabrics in various tones and values, all workshop participants will rework the same block using different directions on color, value, contrast, and fabric placement to discover how changing up these elements can transform the entire look of a block. All fabrics are brought to the workshop and put into a fabric pool. In the end, you’ll be amazed how small changes can create a major impact to a block or a quilt.

Hurdy Gurdy Table Runner, #55T7503
Looking for a satisfying project that comes together quickly? Adapted from the "Hurdy Gurdy" pattern in one of Beth's popular books, this table runner offers a streamlined approach to creating a stunning, scrappy version of a classic block. You'll discover the magic of Accordion Sewn HSTs™, a clever technique that makes creating perfectly aligned half-square triangles surprisingly easy. Perfect for both beginners eager to learn a new skill and experienced quilters looking for a fast and fun make!

Intro to Accordion Sewn HSTs™, #55W7502
If you haven't discovered the Accordion Sewn HSTs™ method of making half square triangles with no matches and no waste, it's time! It's not only fun and addicting, but by the time you create and cut apart your cute little accordions, your blocks have the potential to lay out perfectly in order to form your design! It's innovative and amazing and once you learn the technique you'll want to adapt it to all of your future half square triangle quilts!

Intro to Flying Frankies, #55F9540
What is a Flying Frankie? While it started as an autocorrect of "Flying Geese," the silly name quickly stuck as a description of scrappy outlined Flying Geese made using Beth’s Accordion Sewn HSTs™ method and contrasting piping. In this workshop you will learn how to make these cool and eye-catching elements to create two blocks. Once you've mastered the technique you'll want to add them to all sorts of projects!

Kickin' Stash, #55T7505
Become addicted to the making of these modernesque Log Cabin style blocks while learning piecing tips, value tricks, and color confidence. We will create these fun blocks (with only one matching point!) in both planned scrappy - four fabrics per block, and completely scrappy - 16 fabrics per block, to really bring out the possibilities with this design.
