Get ready for four unforgettable days of quilting with one instructor, one project, and one incredible opportunity to deepen your skills. At the AQS Seam Quilt Retreat, you’ll choose the instructor who inspires you and spend the entire retreat learning directly from them in a focused, hands-on setting. Group lunches and evening events bring all retreat attendees together. However, your learning experience is in a private classroom with your chosen instructor and classmates.

Session Description:
Join Becky Goldsmith for a festive and skill-building hand appliqué session where you’ll create a stunning holiday-inspired project! Start with a beautiful circular center, then appliqué poinsettias and holly onto the background, and finish by adding sparkling decorative circles. All skill levels are welcome! You’ll learn everything from creating templates to mastering invisible appliqué stitches. Becky will guide you through each step, ensuring you leave with a delightful project and the confidence to tackle more complex hand appliqué in the future.

Project Description:
A vibrant field of poinsettias and holly frames Santa and his trusty reindeer as they spread holiday cheer. Choose solid or tone-on-tone fabrics for a modern twist or opt for prints and plaids for a more traditional aesthetic. This 36˝ square quilt features layered appliqué and includes a variety of hand appliqué techniques, including the invisible stitch, inner and outer points, curves, cutaway appliqué on small shapes, and much more.
