Parking & Bus Routes
Guests are encouraged to park in the city lots in downtown Paducah. Recently these city lots have not been full during AQS QuiltWeek. Free parking is available in the downtown city lots.

Transportation
Shuttle buses to hotels and attractions and the Trolleys will pickup passengers at the AQS Shuttle Stop inside the floodwall at the sidewalk near the Eisenhower entrance to the Convention Center. The Trolley will stop at the Farmers’ Market parking lot (2nd St. and Monroe St.) to pick up passengers to go to the Shuttle Stop at the Convention Center.
Evening Transportation:
After Evening Classes – A Pavilion Shuttle bus will transport from the Convention Center Shuttle Stop at 8:00 p.m. to participating hotels and the Kentucky Oaks Mall Park‘N Ride.
Ricky Tims (Friday Evening) at Clemens Fine Arts Center, WKCTC – A Pavilion Shuttle will leave the Convention Center Shuttle Stop at 6:00 p.m. to go to the Clemens Fine Arts Center; may need to make more than one trip. Then return to Clemens to pick up at 9:00 p.m. to go to participating hotels and Park ‘N Ride at Kentucky Oaks Mall.
Transportation to/from the Pavilion:
Ride the free small buses from the Bus/Pavilion Shuttle Stop in front of the Schroeder Expo Center to the Pavilion. These buses will run continuously during show hours. One of the Pavilion Shuttles will be ADA compliant to handle wheelchairs.
6th Street will be one-way toward Park Avenue; No Parking signs will be placed along 6th Street.

Transportation between Barkley Regional Airport and area hotels may be scheduled with PATS Dial-A-Ride (24-hour advance reservation required) 270-444-8700.
Expo Center Parking Lot
Traffic will be directed to the stoplight at 8th Street to Campbell Street to enter the Convention Center Parking lot and park. Parking is $10/space/day. People working in the Pavilion (vendors–pay, AQS staff-parking passes, and Ambassadors can park free wearing their name tag and/or red jackets.
Charter buses will enter at the rear entrance off Campbell Street, turning right and traveling along the floodwall to the Food Court area in the parking lot of the Convention Center, then left to stop in front of the Expo Center.
Traffic from 4th Street through the floodwall will only be able to drop off passengers at the Convention Center and then exit to Park Avenue.

There will not be a UPS shipping service at the show this year, however there are local Shipping Centers:

Multi-Day Pass
Visit The National Quilt Museum as many times as you like during AQS QuiltWeek by purchasing a Multi-Day pass, only available through AQS Advance Registration. You’ll save by paying the daily price for all-week access! Admission purchased at The National Quilt Museum during the show is $15 for a daily admission at the door.

Scooter Rental
Scooters and wheelchairs will be available to rent from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday during AQS QuiltWeek – Paducah 2024.
Rental Rates:
- Scooter: $80 per day, $150 for 2 days, 4 days for $280
- Scooter Half-Day (Morning or Afternoon): $45 - Available from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Or 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. (Saturday 12:00 - 3 p.m.) - Wheelchairs: $40 per day
Please call Emilee Childress at (270) 898-7903 x 192 before 4/18/2024 to make a reservation, or rent your scooter at the AQS Information Center during QuiltWeek (while supplies last).
If you have a scooter reserved, stop at the AQS Information Center in the hallway ourside the Exhibit Hall to make payment, sign the paperwork, and pick up the key.
Scooters should be returned one hour prior to the show closing each day (5:00 p.m. on Wed., Thurs., and Fri., and 3:00 p.m. on Sat). You will need to return the key to the AQS Information Center.
Quilt Appraisals
AQS Certified Quilt Appraisers will appraise new or antique/vintage quilts for insurance replacement, or for sale or donation purposes.

Walk-in appraisals for AQS QuiltWeek - Paducah 2024 will be held Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Appraisal Fee: $75 per quilt, payable at the AQS Information Center prior to the appraisal.
You’ll receive your written appraisal no later than 30 days after the close of the show.
Charities
Kentucky State Police – Car Raffle
Purchase a $10 raffle ticket for a 2024 Ford Mustang at the Kentucky State Police table at the entrance of the River Rooms on the second floor of the Convention Center. Raffle benefits Trooper Island Camp for underprivileged children.
PaDucky Derby
At each AQS QuiltWeek event, the American Quilter’s Society partners with a local charity. Again, this year, AQS and the Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center present the PaDucky Derby! Look for the PaDucky Derby booth in the lobby of the Carroll Convention Center at the show to rent your duck ($5.00), Quack Pack (6 for $25), or Flock (12 for $50).
The proceeds of the race will benefit Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center, which saves, builds, and changes the lives of men, women, and children affected by domestic violence in Kentucky’s Purchase Region. You can learn more about the Merryman House at merrymanhouse.org.
